How to solve a problem like Father’s Day?!

If you’re anything like me, Mother’s day is a synch, Father’s day – not so easy….you could get the usual boring tie, bottle of whisky, etc, but don’t our daddy dearest deserve more?! So if you fancy getting your Dad something different have a look at some of the neat buys above, including an awesome clock made from a vinyl record (www.the-gratefulthread.com), some 60s inspired mugs and a ford capri satchel from www.dotcomgiftshop.com. For those of you who like to splash the cash you can get a comic strip canvas from www.urchin.co.uk. Or if your Dad is a big sports fan how about having a look at www.inthepaper.co.uk, where you can have your dad feature on his very own sports page in a newspaper!

And don’t forget the all important card!! Have a look at our range on www.fuzzchops.com - if it’s golf, rugby, football, nature, cars, music, or food your Dad loves then we have a card with it on! Or even better personalise your own card with a message for your Dad – see our bespoke range. And remember if you buy before 4pm your card will be sent it to you on the same day! So get ordering before it’s too late!

Check out my Slide Show!

No rest for the wicked!

I was back out into that garden today to finish my gardening tasks, one of which I was secretly looking forward to…strimming the hedge! Now I know I sound like I need to get out a bit more, however the hedge is about 1 mile long (I exaggerate not! I live on a farm remember) and I had some wild fantasy about how I could use my creativity and create some amazing masterpiece out of the bushes – you know, some fantastic peacock or a crazy dragon…that was until I strimmed right through the cable!! Oops!! Not only that but those strimmers are bloody heavy, and I’m now left with blistered hands and making “bu, bu, bu” noises like Goldie Hawn’s character off Overboard! Now, if you have not see this film, go out and buy it now! It’s soppy, funny and cheesy – however this is how Goldie and Kurt first met and fell in love, so us old romantics here at Fuzzchops love it!!

Anyway, with no more garden tasks left my mind immediately wandered to what I could go buy to fill this wonderful garden…and I found this gorgeous red hanging tent from www.urchin.co.uk that I could hang off our trees and then these beautifully restored plant pots from www.ghostfurniture.co.uk that would look just perfect indoors. And I must say I’m a sucker for candles and outside lighting so I’ll be snapping up one of Bombay Duck’s (www.bombayduck.co.uk) Drangonfly hanging votives to let some night light into our garden – it’s simply gorgeous!

Right off for a soak and to watch some quality TV (that’s the Eurovision song contest to you and me…;-) x

A day full of daisies

Well I can hardly keep my eyes open - living on a farm and trying to run your own business is tough going sometimes! It was such a beautiful May day here that I thought I should make the most of the country air and mow the lawn. Now I’m not a huge gardener but I figured heck why not? it’s a sunny day and a good bit of exercise for me (which, by the way, I clearly need as I was asked the other day when my “little dumpling” was due…and I’m not pregnant…!!), however cutting the grass on a farm is a bit different….2 hours later I’m still chuffing mowing and the daisies were going nowhere fast!! So I decided to use them to make some new greeting cards instead!! Have a look see what you think of the shots I took. I’m in the process of designing my own line of wedding stationery, so I think the heart full of daisies may feature in some of the designs – let me know what you think? Ciao for now, off to put the dog and cat, and sheep, to bed...xx

Welcome to Fuzzchops and our first blog

Hi Guys!
Welcome to our first blog! I'm Catherine and i own Fuzzchops.com - a website offering fun and funky greeting cards - i've attached a few photos of the images on our greeting cards.

This is the first time i've ever written a blog, so bear with me!! I'm clearly not the most IT literate as it's taken me since 6pm this evening to get this far!! Nevermind! I can't stay long as i need to go and make some bespoke cards for three customers...one featuring two lobsters kissing...they're to feature on a wedding card...I'll explain next time....!!

Tomorrow my blog will concentrate on gifts for Father's day and where to get some weird and wonderful presents for your daddy dearest, so will see you then!
